Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1942, in very good condition with 90% original finish. 5/5 Bore. 3/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
There is a large decal on the right side of the stock at the butt for the Hammerli 208 pistol, "die Waffe der Meister" (the weapon of champions).
Furniture has pressure marks throughout, including multiple fair to moderate pressure marks. On the right side of the stock, there are a few heavy pressure marks next to the left edge of the finger groove, and there are numerous gouges along the lower edge of the stock, from the bottom of the finger groove to before the rear barrel band. In between the two barrel bands, there is a heavy pressure mark at the woodline between the stock and handguard, and there is a mild scrape to the right of the heavy pressure mark. On the left side of the stock at the grip there are several heavy pressure marks and gouges, including a moderate gouge near the top of the grip. Above the right edge of the finger groove there is a gouge that runs parallel to the woodline. To the left of the finger groove there is a long, light pressure mark that runs from the finger groove to the handguard and a couple of heavy pressure marks below the woodline. On the forearm near the front barrel band there are a couple light scrapes. On the underside of the stock there is a heavy gouge near the rear screw of the magazine plate. On the forearm there is a black square decal in front of the rear barrel band spring. On the comb of the stock there are a couple gouges, including a heavy gouge at the forward end of the comb, near the receiver tang. The handguard has multiple mild pressure marks on the top side in front of the ferrule as well as a light scrape. There are multiple gouges in between the two barrel bands, including a heavy gouge near the front barrel band.
Receiver has light wear throughout, with slightly heavier finish wear along the left side. Mild edge wear around the loading slot. Light to mild edge wear along the right side. Finish on both barrel bands may have been refurbished as their limited finish wear does not match the finish wear on the receiver nor the amount of wear on the furniture. Mild finish wear on the magazine plate. Light finish wear on the trigger guard. Light finish wear on the magazine.
Receiver is P stamped.
