Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1941, in very good condition with 85% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Furniture has many light to mild pressure marks throughout. Oh the right side of the stock there is a large pressure mark rear of the grip. There are several scratches on the grip and a black coloration at the end of the comb and running along the grip. Multiple small heavy pressure marks and a gouge to the right of the finger groove. Black coloration on the stock and handguard around the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock, there is black coloration around the rear barrel band and a gouge about halfway between the two barrel bands. On the underside of the stock, there are numerous pressure marks and a few light gouges at the butt. Light gouging on the pistol grip. Black coloration around parts of the magazine plate. Heavy pressure mark about halfway between the end of the magazine plate and the rear barrel band and there is black coloration around the rear barrel band. On the comb there are several pressure marks and there is black coloration around the receiver tang. The handguard has many pressure marks throughout. Black discoloration in front of the ferrule, around the two barrel bands. There is a small gouge on the top side of the handguard between the ferrule and rear barrel band, a gouge on the right side near the ferrule, and a heavy pressure mark on the right side in between the two barrel bands. Wood is chipped underneath the front barrel band.
There appears to have been an attempt by the previous owner to at least partially refurbish the bluing. Receiver has light finish wear overall. Mild finish wear on the left side at the rear. Mild edge wear around the loading slot. Light edge wear along the right side. Light finish wear on the rear barrel band. Mild to fair finish wear around the front barrel band. Light edge wear around the trigger guard. Fair finish wear on the underside of the magazine with light pitting.
Receiver is P stamped.
Soldier's tag found under butt plate.
Includes muzzle cover and leather sling.
