Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1937, in very good condition with 85% original finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling). 3/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Furniture has light to mild pressure marks throughout. Stock has finish wear around the butt, with heavier finish wear on the left side. On the right side of the stock there is some gouging on the pistol grip. Heavy handling wear below the finger groove including some gouging. On the forearm there are a couple of gouges in between the two barrel bands and a small chip in front of the front barrel band. On the left side of the stock, in addition to the previously mentioned finish wear, there is finish wear in front of the rear sling mount caused by the sling. Mild gouge below the comb, above the rear sling mount. Several heavy pressure marks at the base of the grip, above the pistol grip, and at the top of the grip there are multiple pressure marks and several fair to moderate gouges. The finger groove has a gouge below the right edge and a second gouge below the left side. On the underside of the stock there are multiple small marks from the toe to the pistol grip, including a heavy pressure mark near the pistol grip. In front of the magazine plate there are several light scratches and light pressure marks. There are multiple marks at the comb, mostly on the forward half. On the right side of the handguard, there is a light gouge about halfway between the ferrule and the rear barrel band, a mild gouge in front of the rear barrel band, and a heavy gouge at the woodline before the front barrel band. Left side of the handguard there is a light scratch and a heavy pressure mark in between the ferrule and the rear barrel band.
Receiver finish is lightly worn, with slightly heavier finish wear along the left side. Light edge wear at the forward edge of the loading slot. Mild to fair edge wear along the right side. Light finish wear on both barrel bands. Heavy edge wear along the top of the front sight base. Light finish wear on the magazine plate. Light finish wear on the trigger guard. Light to mild finish wear on the magazine base.
Receiver is P stamped at the receiver tang. 59 is also stamped on the tang, indicating armory refurbishment in 1959.
Includes muzzle cover and leather sling.
