Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1934, in good condition with 80% finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling). 2/5 Stock. Stock and handguard both non-matching serial numbers (both serial number 758106). Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Furniture has heavy handling wear with many heavy pressure marks throughout. Please refer to the provided photos as not all marks will be described below.
On the right side of the stock there are numerous heavy gouges and scrapes from the butt to the top of the grip, and heavy pressure marks along the grip. There are multiple light gouges at the area below the bolt release lever and the finger groove, and there are a couple of heavy pressure marks above the finger groove. On the left side of the stock, there is heavy finish wear and scratches at the butt. There are multiple scrapes and gouges from the grip to the finger groove. On the underside of the stock there are multiple pressure marks and a few light gouges from the toe to the pistol grip, and there is a heavy gouge on the pistol grip. There is gouging at the edge of the wood by the magazine plate's rear screw and a small gouge on the edge near the forward screw. From the magazine plate to the rear barrel band there is a long scrape in front of the magazine plate and heavy gouging. Mild gouging and scrapes near the front barrel band. There are numerous small nicks and pressure marks around the receiver tang. The handguard has multiple light pressure marks and light gouges from the ferrule to the rear barrel band.
Bluing seems to have been partially refurbished. Receiver has solid bluing with a slight plum tint. Light scratch over the chamber. Very light edge wear around the loading slot. Rear barrel band has been refinished and has a very dark finish. Heavy finish wear on the front barrel band. Magazine plate, trigger guard, and magazine have been refinished.
Receiver is P stamped.
