Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1954, in very good condition with 85% finish. 5/5 Bore. 3/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt is refurbished with matching electropenciled serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Furniture has some areas of mild to fair finish wear, mostly around the butt.
On the right side of the stock, there are several light gouges around the butt. On the left side of the stock, an encircled number 1 is stamped in front of the rear sling mount. There is some light scuffing on the grip and a mild gouge above the grip, in between the end of the comb and the receiver tang. To the right of the finger groove, there are a couple of light to mild pressure marks and a long, light scratch. On the underside of the stock, there are a few light gouges on the area from the toe to the pistol grip. On the forearm, between the end of the magazine plate and the rear barrel band, there is a series of large, mild pressure marks. There is a large, very heavy gouge on the comb. On the handguard, in between the ferrule and the rear barrel band, there are multiple light gouges and a pair of long gouges. Light gouge on the top side in front of the rear barrel band.
Bluing has been previously refurbished. Receiver has light edge wear around the loading slot. There is an area of heavy finish wear on the left side of the receiver at the rear. Light edge wear on the right side at the forward edge. Rear barrel band has mild patina and spots of moderate to heavy finish wear. Front barrel band has mostly light finish wear, with moderate to heavy wear on the bayonet lug and the forward edge of the stacking arm. Small mark on the magazine plate next to the magazine catch. Light edge wear on the trigger guard. Light edge wear on the magazine base.
Receiver is P stamped. "VD" stamped at the tang for Canton Vaud.
Includes aluminum muzzle cover and leather sling.
