Swiss K11 Carbine, produced in 1931, in very good condition with 80% original finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly dull bore, lightly worn rifling). 5/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Furniture has a tiger stripe pattern on the forearm between the two barrel bands. Tape was wrapped around the stock and handguard near the front barrel band, but there is no physical damage (i.e. cracking) noted.
The Swiss military acceptance stamp on the right side of the stock appears to be very shallow. Light to mild pressure mark in the middle of the grip. On the left side of the stock there is a heavy pressure mark below the rear sling mount. Light pressure mark at the top of the grip. Just beyond the grip are two small vertical scratches.
Receiver has light to mild finish wear overall. Heavier finish wear at the rear of the receiver. Mild finish wear around the loading slot, light edge wear around the lightening cuts. Several scratches in the finish found at the rear of the receiver. Light finish wear and light patina on both barrel bands. Magazine plate and trigger guard have moderate to heavy finish wear. Heavy patina on the trigger guard. Magazine has edge wear and mild finish wear on the underside.
Top bolt knob is cracked. Bottom bolt knob is chipped.
Receiver is P 60 stamped, indicating privatization in 1960. Soldier's tag found under butt plate.

The Karabiner Model 1911 (K11) is the shorter, lighter, carbine model of the Swiss 1911 rifle. It is a magazine fed, straight pull, bolt action rifle chambered in 7.5x55mm Swiss Gewehrpatrone 1911 (GP11). Though the 1911 rifle ceased production in 1919, the K11 was produced through 1933 as the Swiss military realized the benefit of outfitting their service members with shorter, lighter, carbines.
