Swiss K11 Carbine, produced in 1927, in good condition with 70+% original finish. 5/5 Bore. 1/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Stock has a faint tiger stripe pattern. On the right side of the stock, there is finish wear around the butt and there are multiple light pressure marks along the side of the butt. Heavy pressure mark below the bolt knob. There are various light pressure marks around the finger groove. On the left side of the stock, there are several light to mild pressure marks on and around the grip. Mild handling wear at the woodline below the receiver. Various small light to mild pressure marks found around the finger groove. Small chip at the woodline in front of the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock there is heavy handling wear at the toe, including some light gouging. Heavy pressure mark in front of the magazine plate. On the heel of the stock there is a 1" unrepaired crack, which does not affect the operation of the carbine but does lower the furniture score from 3/5 to 1/5 due to our grading methodology regarding unrepaired cracks. Handguard has multiple mild to moderate pressure marks. There is a gouge on the left side of the handguard, before the rear sight.
Receiver has areas of heavy finish wear: at the rear of the receiver on the left and top sides, and to the right of the loading slot. Mild edge wear around t he loading slot. Light edge wear around the lightening cuts. Light edge wear on the right side at the forward edge. There are also marks found in the metal. Rear barrel band has light finish wear. Front barrel band has light to mild finish wear. Both barrel bands have light patina. Light finish wear on the magazine plate and light edge wear around the screws. Trigger guard has heavy edge wear, light to mild finish wear, and scratches on the underside. Magazine has heavy edge wear.
Bolt knobs exhibit a fair amount of handling wear but are not cracked.
Receiver is P stamped. "36" stamp below the serial number, either indicating armory refurbishment in 1936 or privatization in 1936.

The Karabiner Model 1911 (K11) is the shorter, lighter, carbine model of the Swiss 1911 rifle. It is a magazine fed, straight pull, bolt action rifle chambered in 7.5x55mm Swiss Gewehrpatrone 1911 (GP11). Though the 1911 rifle ceased production in 1919, the K11 was produced through 1933 as the Swiss military realized the benefit of outfitting their service members with shorter, lighter, carbines.
