Magazine matching serial number. Receiver surface has sparse light pitting. Wood has a medium amount of handling wear and dents, consistent with military service. Magazine base plate finish is worn. Edge wear on trigger guard. Stock has a well defined grain pattern. Right side of stock has a few small holes, likely caused by a borer beetle. P stamped receiver. The Karabiner Model 1911 (K11) is the shorter, lighter, carbine model of the Swiss 1911 rifle. It is a magazine fed, straight pull, bolt action rifle chambered in 7.5x55mm Swiss Gewehrpatrone 1911 (GP11). Though the 1911 rifle ceased production in 1919, the K11 was produced through 1933 as the Swiss military realized the benefit of outfitting their service members with shorter, lighter, carbines.
