Product Description
Swiss K11 Carbine, produced in 1927, in very good condition with 93% finish. 4/5 Bore (bright bore, lightly worn rifling). 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Tiger striping visible around the butt of the stock. The Swiss military acceptance stamp on the right side of the stock is sharp and well defined. On the right side of the stock, there is a light pressure mark above the pistol grip. In between the end of the bolt release lever and the beginning of the finger groove, there are multiple circular pressure marks, which are light in severity, and look like they were caused by the button used on Swiss military leather slings. Heavy pressure mark inside the finger groove. On the left side of the stock, there is finish wear around the top screw for the rear sling mount. In front of the sling mount are several light, circular pressure marks, just like on the right side, as well as some other light to mild pressure marks. The handguard has some scattered light to mild pressure marks. On the left side of the handguard, before the rear barrel band there is a moderate pressure mark. On the top side of the handguard, in between the rear barrel band and the tangent sight, there are a pair of moderate to heavy pressure marks. In between the two barrel bands, on the top side, there is a long crack that has been armory repaired.
It is possible that the bluing has either been partially or fully refurbished as the tangent sight is completely blued when the numbers on the top are normally polished and in the white. The receiver bluing is very dark and solid. Light edge wear around the loading slot, the three lightening cuts, on the rear edge, and on the right side at the forward edge. Very light to light finish wear on the two barrel bands. The front barrel band has light edge wear on the bayonet lug. Light edge wear on the trigger guard and on the magazine. Magazine also has light finish wear on the rear of the underside, below the serial number.
No P stamp on receiver.
Includes muzzle cover and leather sling.

The Karabiner Model 1911 (K11) is the shorter, lighter, carbine model of the Swiss 1911 rifle. It is a magazine fed, straight pull, bolt action rifle chambered in 7.5x55mm Swiss Gewehrpatrone 1911 (GP11). Though the 1911 rifle ceased production in 1919, the K11 was produced through 1933 as the Swiss military realized the benefit of outfitting their service members with shorter, lighter, carbines.
