This Swiss K11 carbine, produced in 1921, is in very good condition with 90% finish (refurbished). 5/5 Bore. 5/5 Stock. Stock non-matching serial number. Handguard matching serial number. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number. The non-matching serial number stock is very clean with few handling marks; only notable mark is on the right side at the toe, below the Swiss military acceptance mark. Both finger grooves on the stock are sharp so it is unlikely that this stock was sanded and refinished. Handguard is also very clean with few handling marks. Bluing on receiver is very dark, with light edge wear around the loading slot and the lightening cutouts. Receiver bluing is a different shade compared to the other blued components. Finish on both barrel bands are very dark. Front sight has some light edge wear on the top of the sight wings. Charging handle knob has some handling wear. Receiver is P38 stamped, meaning this K11 Carbine was only in military service for 17 years. Soldier's tag found under butt plate. Includes muzzle cover and leather sling. C&R Eligible. Discreet import engraving.
The Karabiner Model 1911 (K11) is the shorter, lighter, carbine model of the Swiss 1911 rifle. It is a magazine fed, straight pull, bolt action rifle chambered in 7.5x55mm Swiss Gewehrpatrone 1911 (GP11). Though the 1911 rifle ceased production in 1919, the K11 was produced through 1933 as the Swiss military realized the benefit of outfitting their service members with shorter, lighter, carbines.
