Swiss K11 Carbine, produced in 1917, in very good condition with 80% original finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Pressure marks throughout the furniture. On the right side of the stock there are pressure marks and handling wear on the grip. To the left of the finger groove there are several gouges. On the left side of the stock there are a pair of heavy pressure marks at the end of the grip. There is light gouging off the right edge of the finger groove and a heavy pressure mark before the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock there are a couple of light gouges at the toe. There is some light gouging around the magazine plate and dark coloration in the wood around the magazine. There is gouging around the rear barrel band spring. On the top side there is dark coloring around the tang, as if the previous owner attempted to apply a steel bluing agent on the tang in situ. Handguard has several light gouges and scratches around the rear sight and a scratch on the top side in front of the rear barrel band.
Receiver has fair to moderate finish wear throughout, with heavier finish wear found on the top side around the lightening cuts and on the left side at the rear. Patina throughout the receiver. Several surface marks in the metal found around the rear of the receiver. Light finish wear on both barrel bands, which have possibly been refinished as the level of finish wear does not match the level of wear on the rest of the carbine. Fair finish wear on the magazine plate, with moderate finish wear around the magazine, and light patina. Moderate finish wear and mild patina on the trigger guard. Moderate to heavy finish wear on the magazine base.
Receiver is P stamped.
Soldier's tag found under butt plate.
