Swiss K11 Carbine, produced in 1917, in very good condition with 85% original finish. 3/5 Bore (bright bore with worn rifling). 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Furniture may have been previously sanded, but the Swiss military acceptance stamp on the right side of the stock is still visible. Furniture has definitely been refinished, and a gloss clear coat has been applied. Very little handling wear is present, but there is a gouge on the left side of the stock to the right of the finger groove.
Receiver has mild pitting throughout. Light to mild edge wear around the loading slot. Light edge wear around the lightening cuts. Mild edge wear at the rear of the receiver. On the underside of the receiver, inside the stock, there are some spots of heavy pitting. Moderate pitting on the rear barrel band. Front barrel band has light finish wear, light patina, and light pitting. Mild pitting throughout the magazine plate. Light pitting on the trigger guard and light edge wear. Mild edge wear, mild finish wear, and mild pitting on the magazine.
Receiver is P stamped. "38" stamped underneath the serial number indicating armory refurbishment in 1938.
Soldier's tag found under butt plate.
