W+F Bern Swiss K11 - s/n 39xxx
Swiss K11 Carbine, produced in 1915, in very good condition with 85% finish. 4/5 Bore (light pitting in the bore). 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number. Bolt knobs matching serial number.
On the right side of the stock, there is some white paint transfer near the toe. Three light scratches above the pistol grip. Light gouging on the inside right corner of the finger groove and a mild pressure mark above and to the right of the finger groove. Light gouge on the underside of the stock near the front of the magazine plate. There are several small gouges on the comb of the stock near the heel. Handguard has a heavy pressure mark on the right side in front of the rear sight.
Bluing has been at least partially refinished at some point as the rear tangent sight is completely blued. Receiver finish is lightly worn and has light patina. There are light surface scratches along the top side of the receiver that may have been caused by an abrasive pad, possibly to clean up some of the spots of light pitting on the receiver. Both barrel bands have very light to light finish wear and light patina. Light finish wear and light patina on the magazine plate. Light patina on the trigger guard and magazine base.
Receiver is P stamped.
Both bolt knobs are cracked. Bottom bolt knob is chipped.
Soldier's tag found under butt plate.
