Product Description
Swiss K11 Carbine, produced in 1928, in very good condition with 85% original finish. 3/5 Bore (dull bore, light to mild pitting throughout). 1*/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Furniture had been previously lightly sanded and refinished with a gloss finish. The finish was poorly applied. On the right side of the stock, along the butt there are blemishes in the gloss finish where something had touched the stock while the finish application was still wet. There are long pressure marks and a small gouge along the bottom edge of the butt. There are a couple of fair to heavy pressure marks to the left of the finger groove. Pressure mark on the forearm about halfway between the two barrel bands. On the left side of the stock, there is finish wear at the butt, a heavy pressure mark on the rear edge of the rear sling mount, and several mild to fair pressure marks on the side of the butt. Below the receiver there are blemishes in the gloss finish as well as some heavy pressure marks and light to mild gouges. Heavy pressure mark above and to the left of the finger groove. The handguard has a small chip in front of the front barrel band. There is an unrepaired crack at the top of the rear end of the handguard, behind the rear sight, dropping the overall furniture grade from 3/5 to 1/5.
Receiver has light to mild finish wear overall, with the heavier finish wear found at the rear of the receiver on the top and left sides. Light patina throughout the receiver. Light edge wear around the loading slot and the lightening cuts. Several surface marks throughout the receiver. Light finish wear on the rear barrel band, and light scratches on the right side. Mild to fair finish wear on the front barrel band. Mild finish wear on the front sight base. Heavy patina on the trigger guard and magazine base.
Receiver is P stamped.
Includes aluminum muzzle cover.
