Swiss 1911 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1918, in good condition with 70+% original finish. 5/5 Bore. 3/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number. Bolt knobs matching serial numbers.
The furniture has numerous light to moderate pressure marks throughout. Finish is worn around the butt. On the right side of the stock, there is a large scrape at the butt below the heel and several gouges. There are surface scrapes and gouges around and in the finger groove and gouging at the woodline above and to the right of the finger groove. There is a long heavy pressure mark to the right of the finger groove. On the left side of the stock there is a gouge at the butt and a long, heavy gouge on the grip. There is a gouge just below the woodline, below the right side of the receiver's left side lightening cut. There is a gouge before the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock there is a gouge and several scrapes. There is a chip at the tang. The handguard has a pair of gouges on the right side, directly in front of the ferrule. There is a small gouge on the left side of the stock at the woodline in between the ferrule and rear barrel band. On the top side of the stock there is a gouge about halfway between the two barrel bands. Light edge wear around the loading slot and lightening cuts. Rear barrel band has moderate to heavy finish wear and fair to moderate patina. Front barrel band has fair to moderate finish wear and fair patina. Magazine plate has fair to moderate finish wear. Trigger guard and magazine has heavy finish wear.
Receiver has moderate finish wear, several surface marks in the metal, and light pitting throughout.
Both bolt knobs are cracked.
No P stamp found on receiver.
