Swiss 1911 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1917, in good condition with 70% original finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
On the right side of the stock there are multiple light to mild pressure marks along the butt and the grip. Below the bolt release lever is a small, light gouge. Heavy pressure mark at the woodline below the receiver. Large pressure mark on the bottom edge of the finger groove. On the left side of the stock, there are multiple small, light pressure marks around the grip. Heavy handling marks found on the side of the stock below the receiver. Heavy pressure mark on the bottom edge of the finger groove, matching the opposite side. Various light pressure marks on the underside of the stock around the toe. Light gouge on the bottom of the pistol grip. Handguard has multiple light to mild pressure marks throughout. On the right side of the handguard, near the Swiss military stamp, is a long, thin gouge that begins on the top side and terminates on the stock, just past the woodline. On the left side of the handguard, before the rear barrel band, at the woodline, there is a mild gouge.
Receiver has moderate to heavy finish wear. Mild to fair edge wear around the loading slot, the upper lightening cuts, and at the rear of the receiver. Light edge wear around the left side lightening cut. There are a few marks in the metal in between the lightening cuts and the loading slot. Rear sight is in the white. Rear barrel band is in the white, has light patina, and mild tool marks. Front barrel band has light finish wear. Light finish wear on the exposed area of the barrel. Magazine plate has moderate finish wear. Trigger guard has severe finish wear and is almost completely in the white, and has light pitting. Magazine base is in the white.
Both bolt knobs are cracked.
Receiver is P 57 stamped, indicating privatization in 1957.

The Model 1911 rifle is a magazine fed, straight pull, bolt action rifle produced by Eidgenossische Waffenfabrik Bern that employs all of the upgrades of the converted 1896/11 rifle from the factory. The Model 1911 rifle is chambered in 7.5x55mm Swiss Gewehrpatrone 1911 (GP11) and was produced by the Swiss federal armory from 1913 through 1919.
