Swiss 1911 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1917, in very good condition with 85% original finish. 3/5 Bore (dull bore, light pitting). 3/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Tiger stripe pattern in the stock and handguard. On the right side of the stock there is a large, heavy gouge on the pistol grip. Small gouge in front of the bolt release lever. Immediately before the rear barrel band there is a gouge running between the stock and handguard. On the forearm in between the two barrel bands there are two gouges. On the left side of the stock there is a moderate pressure mark above the finger groove and some scratching inside the finger groove on the left side. Small gouge on the forearm in front of the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock there is a small gouge at the forearm in front of the rear barrel band spring. The top side of the handguard has a light gouge before the rear barrel band, a small gouge about halfway between the two barrel bands, and there is a scratch at the end of the handguard that has gouged the wood and scratched the top of the barrel band.
Receiver has light finish wear overall and some scattered surface marks. Light edge wear around the loading slot, the lightening cuts, and on the front and rear edge. Light patina over the chamber. Heavy finish wear and mild patina on the rear barrel band. Fair finish wear and light patina on the front barrel band. Light to mild finish wear on the magazine plate. Heavy finish wear on the trigger guard. Magazine base is polished and in the white.
Receiver is P stamped. WF26 stamp under serial number indicates armory refurbishment in 1926.
