Swiss 1911 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1917, in good condition with 75% original finish. 4/5 Bore (bright bore, some spots of light pitting in the bore and near the muzzle). 3/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
On the right side of the stock, there is a heavy gouge on the butt with lighter scrapes around it. Gouge on the grip. Small, light gouge to the left of the finger groove and a very heavy pressure mark on the bottom left edge of the finger groove. On the left side of the stock are a few gouges near the rear sling mount. Light scratches on the pistol grip and the grip. Mild scratch at the top of the grip near the tang. Various pressure marks found along the wood line below the receiver. Around the finger groove there are several scrapes and light gouging. On the underside of the stock there are a pair of small gouges below the right side finger groove. There is a gouge before the front barrel band. There is a scrape at the heel and a gouge at the comb before the tang.
Receiver has some scattered surface marks in the metal and light pitting. Light edge wear around the loading slot and the lightening cuts. Mild edge wear at the rear edge. Mild finish wear around the base of the barrel. Rear barrel band has heavy finish wear and light pitting. Front barrel band has moderate finish wear and light pitting. Moderate to heavy finish wear on the magazine plate. Heavy finish wear on the trigger guard with light patina. Magazine base is in the white.
Receiver is P 58 stamped, indicating privatization in 1958.
