Swiss 1911 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1916, in very good condition with 85% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Bolt knobs match serial numbers. Top knob is cracked. Bottom knob is chipped.
Stock has various light to mild pressure marks found throughout. On the right side of the stock, there are some pressure marks above the pistol grip and a long pressure mark above the grip at the comb. Several light pressure marks found below the bolt release lever and a couple of mild pressure marks above the magazine. Gouge below the woodline, above the midpoint of the finger groove. There is a gouge on the woodline in front of the handguard ferrule, and to the right of that is a vertical mark running between the stock and handguard. On the left side of the stock, there is heavy handling wear at the area below the receiver. Three mild to moderate pressure marks above the left side of the finger groove. Several marks along the woodline before the rear barrel band, including a vertical pressure mark spanning between the stock and handguard. Typical handling wear on the underside of the stock at the toe. Multiple light pressure marks around the magazine plate's middle screw. Handguard has multiple light pressure marks throughout.
An attempt was made by the previous owner to refinish the bluing using a cold blue process. Either the application didn't take very well or it was poorly applied. Fair edge wear around the loading slot, with heavy edge wear at the chamber. Light edge wear around the lightening cuts, in front of the chamber and the barrel step, and on the right side at the forward edge. Moderate to heavy finish wear in between the upper lightening cuts and moderate edge wear at the rear of the receiver. Mild finish wear on the right side of the receiver by the vent. Rear barrel band has been refinished; light finish wear on the top side and light edge wear on the right side. Front barrel band has light finish wear and light edge wear on the bayonet lug. Mild finish wear on the exposed barrel. Light edge wear on the trigger guard.
Receiver is P stamped. WF26 stamp below the serial number indicates armory refurbishment in 1926.

The Model 1911 rifle is a magazine fed, straight pull, bolt action rifle produced by Eidgenossische Waffenfabrik Bern that employs all of the upgrades of the converted 1896/11 rifle from the factory. The Model 1911 rifle is chambered in 7.5x55mm Swiss Gewehrpatrone 1911 (GP11) and was produced by the Swiss federal armory from 1913 through 1919.
