Swiss 1911 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1914, in very good condition with 85% original finish. 5/5 Bore. 3/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Furniture overall has light handling wear. Tiger stripe pattern in the stock. Right side of the stock has a long pressure mark from the comb to the grip. There are a few scattered mild pressure marks on the forearm. On the left side of the stock, there is a gouge rear of the pistol grip. Moderate pressure mark near the top of the grip, series of mild pressure marks between the receiver and magazine, and a few mild pressure marks near the rear barrel band. Expected wear on the underside of the stock at the toe, and a few scattered light pressure marks around the trigger plate. There is a small 1/4" surface crack behind the tang.
Receiver has good bluing with edge wear around the loading slot, on the right side of the receiver, on the forward edge, light edge wear around the lightening cuts, and light edge wear at the rear. Mild finish wear on the top of the rear barrel band and on the right side at the mounting screw. Front barrel band has finish wear on the left side at the hinge, edge wear on the right side at the mounting screw, and finish wear on the bayonet lug. Trigger plate has finish wear around the magazine well. Trigger guard has edge wear. Magazine base has heavy finish wear.
Receiver is P 55 stamped, indicating privatization in 1955.

The Model 1911 rifle is a magazine fed, straight pull, bolt action rifle produced by Eidgenossische Waffenfabrik Bern that employs all of the upgrades of the converted 1896/11 rifle from the factory. The Model 1911 rifle is chambered in 7.5x55mm Swiss Gewehrpatrone 1911 (GP11) and was produced by the Swiss federal armory from 1913 through 1919.
