Swiss 1911 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1914, in very good condition with 85% finish. 5/5 Bore. 3/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Stock has been previously sanded and refinished as the Swiss military acceptance stamp is shallow. On the right side of the stock, there is a long, heavy gouge on the pistol grip. To the left of the finger groove is a rectangular shaped heavy pressure mark. On the left side of the stock there is a long gouge and several scratches and smaller gouges at the butt. There are a few small gouges on the underside at the toe.
Receiver has light finish wear, particularly at the rear of the receiver. Light edge wear around the loading slot and lightening cuts. Light edge wear at the forward edge.at the chamber. Both barrel bands, magazine plate, trigger guard, and magazine have some sort of black coating applied. This coating is flaking off of the rear barrel band.
Both bolt knobs are cracked.
Receiver is P 58 stamped and 25 stamped, indicating privatization in 1958 and armory refurbishment in 1925.
