Swiss 1911 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1914, in very good condition with 80% original finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers, Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Furniture is very clean with very limited handling wear except for a few blemishes. On the right side of the stock, there is a heavy pressure mark inside the finger grove and on the upper edge. The handguard has a heavy pressure mark on the left side before the rear barrel band and partially extends onto the stock. On the top side near the rear barrel band is a large, shallow gouge. In between the two barrel bands there are a couple of heavy pressure marks.
Receiver has light to mild finish wear and light patina. Mild edge wear around the loading slot, light edge wear around the lightening cuts. Light edge wear at the rear of the receiver, mild edge wear at the chamber adjacent to the barrel step. Both barrel bands have fair to moderate finish wear and light to mild pitting. Mild to fair finish wear on the magazine plate. Trigger guard and magazine has heavy finish wear and mild pitting.
Top bolt knob is cracked. Bottom bolt knob is chipped.
Receiver is P 35 and 25 stamped, indicating privatization in 1935 and armory refurbishment in 1925..
