Swiss 1911 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1913, in very good condition with 85% finish. 5/5 Bore. 3/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
One of 15,000 total produced (one of 9,000 in 1913) with a faster 230mm twist barrel (1:9.05") before switching back to 270mm (1:10.63") later in 1913. These rifles were issued to recruits.
Light tiger striping on the underside of the stock.
On the right side of the stock, there are light gouges around the butt and around the finger groove. On the left side of the stock, there is a heavy pressure mark at the forward end of the butt. Armory repaired crack at the wrist. Light gouging between the wrist and finger groove. Scratch behind the front barrel band. On the underside of the stock, there are light gouges in front of the magazine plate. Handguard has an armory repaired crack on the underside, and an unrepaired crack at the forward end.
All bluing was previously refurbished. Receiver has spots of light pitting throughout. Mild surface mark at the rear edge of the loading slot. Rear barrel band has light pitting and light patina. Multiple surface marks on the trigger guard.
P stamped. WF26 stamped below the serial number, indicating refurbishment by Waffenfabrik Bern in 1926.
