Swiss 1911 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1913, in good condition with 80% original finish. 5/5 Bore. 2/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
There are many light to mild pressure marks throughout the furniture. On the right side of the stock there is a scrape and a heavy pressure mark on the butt above the rear sling mount. There is a moderate pressure mark to the left of the finger groove and a small gouge above the finger groove. Before the rear barrel band is a vertical gouge. In between the two barrel bands is a long gouge running from the handguard and a shorter gouge before the front barrel band. On the left side of the stock there are a few scratches found below the comb. To the right of the finger groove, there is a large chip at the woodline and several deep gouges below and to the right. There are multiple mild to moderate pressure marks around the finger groove. On the forearm about midway between the two barrel bands is a long scratch running between the stock and handguard. On the right side of the handguard there are gouges to the left and right of the rear barrel band. On the left side of the handguard there is a gouge to the left of the scratch running between the stock and handguard.
Receiver finish is fairly solid. There are multiple surface marks found on the receiver. Mild edge wear around the loading slot, light edge wear around the lightening cuts. Light to mild finish wear on the right side at the forward edge. Light edge wear at the rear of the receiver. On the left side, there is a long scratch in the metal below the rear tangent sight. Rear barrel band has moderate finish wear and light patina. Front barrel band has fair finish wear. Trigger guard has moderate edge wear and mild finish wear. Fair to moderate edge wear and mild finish wear on the magazine.
Both bolt knobs are cracked.
Receiver is P 55 stamped indicating privatization in 1955. It is also "30" stamped, indicating armory refurbishment in 1930.
