Swiss W+F Bern 1911 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1915, in Good condition with 70% finish. 3/5 Bore (light to mildly worn rifling). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Stock has prominent tiger striping on the left and right sides.
On the right side of the stock there is light gouging on the butt near the forward end of the comb. Light gouge on the wrist. Light gouging before the finger groove. On the left side of the stock there is a heavy pressure mark near the rear of the butt and light gouging at the forward end of the butt. Light gouge and a mild pressure mark before the finger groove. Light gouging in front of the finger groove. On the underside of the stock there is light gouging before the pistol grip. Light gouging before the rear barrel band and a heavy pressure mark in front of the rear barrel band. On the top of the stock there is a heavy scratch around the center of the comb.
Receiver is in the white. Both barrel bands have heavily worn finish. Magazine plate has lightly worn finish. Trigger guard has mildly worn finish. Magazine base has mildly worn finish and heavy edge wear.
P40 stamped, indicating privatization in 1940.
L26 stamped below the serial number, indicating armory refurbishment in 1926.
