Private series Swiss 1911 Infantry Rifle in very good condition with 90% original finish. 4/5 Bore (bright bore, light pitting). 3/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number. Bolt knobs matching serial number.
Furniture exhibits heavy handling wear with numerous heavy pressure marks and gouges. On the right side of the stock, there are numerous heavy pressure marks and gouges around the butt and the grip. There is a void on the side where a name plaque from the original owner would have been placed. To the left of the finger groove is a gouge and a large, heavy pressure mark. On the forearm before the rear barrel band there are a few round gouges and several light pressure marks that extend up to the handguard. On the left side of the stock there is a gouge above and to the left of the rear sling mount. There is some heavy scuffing just below the comb, near the grip. On the forearm there are several gouges in between the two barrel bands. There are a couple of gouges along the comb. There is a gouge on the top side of the handguard, before the rear barrel band. The finish is worn toward the front end of the handguard.
Receiver has light finish wear on the top side and a few scattered spots of very light pitting. There are also some scratches in the finish and surface marks in the metal. Light edge wear between the end of the receiver and the barrel step, and what looks like peening marks between the barrel and receiver. The barrel is stamped with "1934" in front of the barrel step. Light finish wear on the rear barrel band. The front barrel bandhas a spot of heavy finish wear and light patina. Trigger guard has light edge wear and light finish wear. Magazine base has mild finish wear and light edge wear.
No gunsmith name is found stamped anywhere.
Both bolt knobs are cracked.
Includes muzzle cover and woven leather sling.
