Swiss 1911 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1918, in very good condition with 80% original finish. 4/5 Bore (light pitting around the middle of the bore). 4/5 stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Furniture has moderate to heavy finish wear around the butt and at the grip. Light to mild pressure marks throughout the furniture. Light finish wear along the forearm. On the right side of the stock there are light scrapes around the butt and a gouge below the comb. There is a pressure mark above the magazine, possibly attributed to some sort of clamp or vise, and a pressure mark on the bottom right edge of the finger groove. On the left side of the stock, there is a heavy pressure mark at the base of the grip. Moderate to heavy finish wear and moderate handling wear along the side of the stock to the right of the finger groove. On the underside of the stock there is a heavy gouge to the right of the rear sling mount. There are several marks along the comb.
Discoloration and spots from previous rust found throughout the receiver. Edge wear around the loading slot and the three lightening cuts. Light finish wear and light to mild patina on both barrel bands. Moderate finish wear around the middle of the magazine plate. Heavy rust on the trigger guard. Mild pitting on the base of the magazine.
No P stamp on receiver.
Bottom bolt knob is cracked.
