Swiss 1911 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1916, in very good condition with 80% original finish. 5/5 Bore. 3/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Light tiger striping throughout the stock. Light to mild pressure marks throughout the furniture.
On the right side of the stock, there is a line from some sort of liquid that had stained the wood. There is what looks like the number "75" carved into the stock and a mild gouge. There are mild to fair pressure marks around the perimeter of the finger groove. On the left side of the stock, there is more dark staining in the wood present from the grip to the finger groove. There are a couple of moderate pressure marks to the right of the finger groove. On the underside of the stock there is some light rash on the pistol grip knob. There is a larger mild to fair pressure mark in front of the magazine plate and a heavy pressure mark before the rear barrel band. There is a heavy gouge on the comb of the stock near the heel. The handguard has a heavy gouge on the top side near the ferrule and a smaller gouge near that. There is another heavy gouge on the right side at the woodline. Past the rear barrel band, on the left side of the handguard is a heavy pressure mark.
Receiver has mostly light finish wear, with mild to fair edge wear and finish wear at the rear of the receiver. Light to mild patina over the chamber. Mild pitting on the right side of the receiver in front of the relief vent. Various light surface marks throughout the receiver. Both barrel bands have light finish wear and mild patina. Heavy finish wear on the magazine plate. Heavy finish wear on the trigger guard. Fair finish wear on the magazine base.
Receiver is P 52 stamped, indicating privatization in 1952. WF26 stamped below the serial number, indicating armory refurbishment in 1926.
Includes muzzle cover and leather sling.
