Swiss 1911 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1916, in very good condition with 80% original finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Handguard has a faint tiger stripe pattern.
On the right side of the stock, there are moderate to heavy pressure marks throughout the butt. Light pressure mark to the right of the bolt release lever. Light pressure marks above the bottom edge of the finger groove. Mild pressure marks throughout the forearm, in between the two barrel bands. On the left side of the stock, there are pressure marks of varying severity throughout the butt. Light gouges low on the butt, above the rear sling mount. Pair of mild pressure marks forward of the grip, above the trigger. Light scratches above the right side of the finger groove, and a gouge above the left side of the finger groove, at the woodline below the handguard ferrule. Fair pressure marks along the woodline up to the rear barrel band. Fair pressure marks along the forearm in between the two barrel bands. Gouge at the woodline between the stock and handguard in front of the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock there is some gouging near the rear barrel band. Mild pressure marks on the forearm near the front barrel band. Moderate to heavy pressure marks along the comb and chipping at the receiver tang. Light pressure marks throughout the handguard.
Receiver has moderate to heavy finish wear and mild pitting throughout. Light edge wear and light scratches on the rear barrel band. Moderate to heavy finish wear on the front barrel band. Fair to moderate finish wear on the magazine plate. Heavy finish wear and mild patina on the trigger guard. Moderate to heavy finish wear and mild patina on the magazine base. A white grease pencil had been applied to the magazine's stamped serial number.
Receiver is P 58 stamped, indicating privatization in 1958.
Both bolt knobs are cracked.
