Swiss 1911 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1916, in very good condition with 90% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Furniture has been sanded and refinished, with a gloss clear coat applied. On the right side of the stock, there is a shallow gouge at the butt just below the heel, a small gouge near the rear sling mount, a gouge below the comb, and a gouge on the pistol grip. There is a small scratch above the magazine. On the left side of the stock there are multiple pressure marks along the grip and an area of light scratches and small marks just beyond the grip. There is a small gouge on the upper edge of the finger groove. Black mark on the forearm in front of the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock there is a small gouge before the rear barrel band and another gouge in front of the rear barrel band next to the barrel band spring. Handguard has a gouge on the top side, in between the two barrel bands.
All bluing has been refinished. Very light edge wear around the loading slot and at the rear edge. Minor edge wear around the lightening cuts. There are a few scattered spots of light pitting that have been blued over. Both barrel bands have very light to light finish wear. Magazine plate has a few spots of very light to light finish wear. Trigger guard has light edge wear and light pitting. Very light to light edge wear on the magazine.
Receiver is P stamped. "30" stamped underneath the serial number, indicating armory refurbishment in 1930.
Bottom bolt knob is cracked.
