Swiss 1911 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1916, in very good condition with 80% original finish. 5/5 Bore. 3/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Heavy handling wear and heavy pressure marks noted throughout the furniture. On the right side of the stock there are a couple of heavy pressure marks and gouging at the butt. At the forward area of the butt and the rear of the grip there are multiple gouges and areas where the wood finish has worn through. There are heavy pressure marks at the top of the grip, above the trigger. There are a few fair pressure marks around the edge of the finger groove and some adjacent light gouges. Mild gouging before the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock there are several heavy pressure marks and heavy scrapes around the butt. There is a long, heavy pressure mark along the grip. There are multiple pressure marks and light gouges from the end of the grip to the finger groove. There is a small gouge on the right edge of the finger groove and several light gouges below the finger groove. Heavy handling wear from the finger groove to the rear barrel band with some surface scrapes and gouging, and there is a gouge in front of the rear barrel band. There are multiple heavy pressure marks throughout the underside of the stock. There is a heavy gouge on the rear of the pistol grip and a small gouge on the grip. Multiple light gouges from the end of the magazine plate to the rear barrel band. Small chip at the end of the rear barrel band spring and a small gouge near that. Multiple small gouges and pressure marks along the comb. Multiple mild to heavy pressure marks throughout the handguard. There is an area of heavy finish wear near the ferrule. On the right side of the handguard there is gouging in between the ferrule and rear barrel band, and in front of the rear barrel band there is an area of heavy finish wear and a pair of small gouges. Scattered light gouges on the left side of the handguard in between the barrel bands.
Receiver finish is lightly worn, except for a spot of heavy finish wear over the chamber. Mild edge wear around the loading slot. Light finish wear around the lightening cuts. Moderate edge wear at the rear edge. Both barrel bands have light finish wear and light edge wear. Light finish wear on the magazine plate. Light finish wear and scattered surface marks on the trigger guard. Light to mild finish wear on the magazine base.
Receiver is P stamped. ·20 stamped below the serial number, indicating armory refurbishment in 1920.
Both bolt knobs are cracked. Upper bolt knob is also chipped.
Includes muzzle cover and leather sling.
