Swiss 1911 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1915, in very good condition with 75% original finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
On the right side of the stock, there are various surface scrapes around the butt. Light pressure marks and a few light gouges along the grip. Larger gouge below the bolt release lever, above the trigger guard. Surface scrapes above the finger groove and a gouge below the bottom right edge of the finger groove. On the left side of the stock, there are multiple light and mild pressure marks throughout the butt. Gouge on the grip. Light gouging and multiple mild pressure marks around the finger groove. Light gouging around the rear barrel band. Gouge at the woodline between the two barrel bands, between the stock and handguard. On the underside of the stock, between the two barrel bands there are a couple of mild to fair pressure marks and a light gouge. Light and mild pressure marks along the comb. Handguard has some light and mild gouges between the ferrule and the rear barrel band. A crack in front of the rear barrel band has been armory repaired.
The receiver has mostly mild finish wear but with small areas of moderate to heavy finish wear. Heavier finish wear found over the chamber and at the rear of the receiver. Fair edge wear around the loading slot. Mild to fair edge wear around the lightening cuts. Scratches and surface marks throughout the receiver. Both barrel bands have moderate finish wear and light patina. Heavy finish wear on the magazine plate. Heavy finish wear, heavy edge wear, mild patina, and surface marks on the trigger guard. Light finish wear on the magazine. Magazine was likely refinished and a white grease marker had been applied to the stamped serial number.
Receiver is P stamped. 31 stamped below the serial number, indicating armory refurbishment in 1931.
