Swiss 1911 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1915, in very good condition with 80% original finish. 4/5 Bore (light to mildly worn rifling). 3/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number. Bolt knob matching serial number.
Stock has a light tiger stripe pattern, mostly visible around the butt.
On the right side of the stock, there are light to mild pressure marks throughout the butt. There are a pair of heavy gouges on the lower edge of the butt, forward of the rear sling mount. Heavy gouges on the left side of the finger groove. Mild pressure marks to the right of the finger groove. Mild to fair pressure marks along the forearm in between the two barrel bands. On the left side of the stock, there are scattered mild pressure marks and some surface scrapes. Moderate pressure marks on the grip. Heavy handling wear between the grip and the right side of the finger groove, with several light gouges and mild pressure marks. Light gouging around the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock, there are some light and mild gouges between the magazine plate and the rear barrel band. Light scratches and light pressure marks between the two barrel bands. Chip at the receiver tang. The handguard has mostly light pressure marks throughout, but there is a mild pressure mark about halfway between the two barrel bands.
Mild to fair finish wear throughout the receiver. Heavier finish wear over the chamber, at the rear, and on the right side of the receiver. Heavy surface marks on the rear and right side of the receiver. Fair to moderate finish wear and mild patina on both barrel bands. Fair finish wear and mild patina on the magazine plate. Fair to moderate finish wear and mild patina on the trigger guard. Fair finish wear and light pitting on the magazine base.
Receiver is P 55 stamped, indicating privatization in 1955.
Both bolt knobs are chipped.
