Swiss 1911 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1913, in very good condition with 85% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
One of 15,000 total produced (one of 9,000 in 1913) with a faster 230mm twist barrel (1:9.05") before switching back to 270mm (1:10.63") later in 1913. These rifles were issued to recruits.
Light tiger stripe pattern on the left side of the stock by the finger groove.
On the right side of the stock, there is a heavy gouge before the finger groove and a light gouge inside the finger groove. Pair of light gouges and small, heavy pressure marks before the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock there are heavy pressure marks on the butt and heavy pressure marks forward of the grip. On the underside of the stock there is a heavy gouge and a pair of light gouges before the rear barrel band. Light gouging about halfway between the barrel bands. Light gouge on the comb near the heel.
All bluing was refurbished. Light to mild finish wear throughout the receiver. Light edge wear around the loading slot. Light finish wear on both barrel bands. Light finish wear and light surface marks on the trigger guard. Large, mild surface mark around the center of the trigger guard.
No P stamp noted on receiver. ·25 stamped below the serial number, indicating armory refurbishment in 1925.
Includes muzzle cover and leather sling.
