Swiss 1896/11 Infantry rifle, produced in 1911, in very good condition with 85% finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling, a spot of mild pitting at the start of the rifling). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Both bolt knobs are chipped.
On the right side of the stock, there are light gouges on the rear of the butt and heavy pressure marks toward the forward end of the butt. Heavy pressure marks on the edge of the finger groove. On the left side of the stock, there is a heavy pressure mark at the rear of the butt. Heavy gouge before the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock, there is a light gouge on the pistol grip. Mild gouge on the forearm before the rear barrel band. Light gouge at the heel of the stock. Handguard has white paint transfer near the front barrel band.
Receiver has mild to heavy finish wear. Both barrel bands have heavy finish wear and mild patina. Light finish wear on the magazine plate. Mild finish wear and mild patina on the trigger guard. Magazine has mild finish wear and mild patina.
Receiver is P35 stamped, indicating privatization in 1935.
Includes muzzle cover and leather sling.
