Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1911, in very good condition with 85% finish. 5/5 Bore. 2/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Both bolt knobs are cracked.
On the right side of the stock, there are light to mild gouges at the rear of the butt and there are long, heavy pressure marks throughout the butt. Light gouging in front of the bolt release lever. Light gouging in front of the finger groove. On the left side of the stock there are light gouges and mild pressure marks throughout the butt. Light gouging and heavy pressure marks behind and around the finger groove. Heavy gouge behind the front barrel band. On the underside of the stock there is a mild gouge by the magazine catch.
3" crack on the left side of the wrist coming from the receiver tang. Crack has been repaired but one side of the wrist does sit slightly proud.
Receiver finish is lightly worn. Both barrel bands, magazine plate, and trigger guard have lightly worn finish and light patina.
Receiver is P58 stamped, indicating privatization in 1958.
