Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1911, in good condition with 80% finish. 3/5 Bore (dull bore, lightly worn rifling, light pitting). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Both bolt knobs are chipped.
On the right side of the stock there is mild gouging and heavy pressure marks on the pistol grip and the wrist. Light scratch between the bolt release lever and finger groove. Light scratch inside the finger groove. Heavy pressure mark on the bottom edge of the finger groove. On the left side of the stock there is mild gouging on the pistol grip, the wrist, and in front of the wrist. Light to mild gouge in front of the rear barrel band. Light gouging behind the front barrel band. On the underside of the stock there is light gouging between the barrel bands. Light gouging along the comb. Small chip at the receiver tang. Handguard has a heavy pressure mark near the ferrule and a light gouge at the woodline on the right side, before the rear barrel band.
Receiver has lightly worn finish, mild edge wear, and light patina. Both barrel bands have heavily worn finish. Trigger guard has heavily worn finish. Magazine base has heavily worn finish and is approaching white.
Receiver is P37 stamped, indicating privatization in 1937.
