Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1910, in very good condition with 85% finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Upper bolt knob is chipped.
Furniture was sanded and refinished. Tiger striping on the underside in front of the magazine plate. Handguard has a 6" armory repaired crack at the forward end.
On the underside of the stock there is a light gouge on the butt at the toe and a heavy gouge next to the magazine catch.
Receiver has mild edge wear throughout. Both barrel bands have lightly worn finish and light patina. Magazine plate, trigger guard, and magazine have lightly worn finish and light patina.
Receiver is P53 stamped, indicating privatization in 1953.
