Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1909, in very good condition with 85% finish. 4/5 Bore. 3/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Both bolt knobs are chipped.
On the right side of the stock there is a heavy gouge on the grip. Light gouge below the bolt release lever. Mild pressure marks and light gouging before the finger groove. On the left side of the stock there is a heavy gouge across the side of the pistol grip. Heavy gouge and an area of wood putty rear of the finger groove. The area around the finger groove has been heavily sanded. On the underside of the stock there is a light gouge in front of the magazine catch. Pair of mild and heavy pressure marks before the rear barrel band. Light gouge between the barrel bands. Heavy pressure marks at the rear of the comb, around the heel. Handguard has a deep gouge in front of the handguard ferrule.
Receiver finish is mildly worn. Multiple surface marks throughout the receiver. Both barrel bands have mild finish wear and light patina. Light finish wear on the magazine plate. Light finish wear and light surface marks on the trigger guard. Light pitting on the magazine base.
Receiver is P36 stamped, indicating privatization in 1936.
Includes leather sling.
