Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1910, in very good condition with 80% finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling, light pitting). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Both bolt knobs are cracked. Lower bolt knob is also chipped.
On the right side of the stock there is a light gouge at the rear of the butt. Heavy pressure marks before the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock there is a mild pressure mark at the rear of the butt. Scratch near the forward end of the comb. Heavy pressure marks on the wrist. Mild pressure marks before the finger groove. Light gouging along the upper edge of the finger groove. On the underside of the stock there are heavy pressure marks near the toe. Handguard has light gouging in front of the rear barrel band.
Receiver has heavily worn finish. Worn finish seems to be a result of abrasives being applied to the receiver. Rear barrel band has lightly worn finish and light patina. Front barrel band has mildly worn finish. Magazine plate has a spot of heavy finish wear in front of the trigger guard. Trigger guard has heavily worn finish. Magazine has heavily worn finish.
