Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1905, in very good condition with 90% finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Both bolt knobs are cracked.
On the right side of the stock there are light gouges at the rear of the butt. Mild pressure mark before the finger groove. Light gouging in front of the finger groove. On the left side of the stock there is a heavy pressure mark at the forward end of the butt, on the upper edge of the retrofit pistol grip. Light gouge in front of the rear barrel band and a mild gouge halfway between the barrel bands.
Receiver has lightly worn finish, with mildly worn finish over the chamber. Light pitting throughout the receiver. Both barrel bands have lightly worn finish and light patina. Trigger guard has lightly worn finish and light pitting.
P stamped on the barrel step. 36 stamped above the serial number, indicating armory refurbishment in 1936.
