Swiss W+F Bern 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1904, in very good condition with 80% finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers except for the magazine (non-serialized replacement).
Upper bolt knob is cracked. Lower bolt knob is chipped.
Furniture was previously sanded and refinished with a semi-gloss finish.
Stock has faint tiger striping on the right side from the butt to the finger groove and on the left side at the butt along the comb.
On the right side of the stock there is light gouging at the rear of the butt. Light gouge in front of the finger groove. Light gouge before the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock there is light gouging at the rear of the butt. Heavy gouge below the finger groove. Heavy gouging in front of the rear barrel band between the stock and handguard. On the underside of the stock there is a mild gouge next to the magazine catch.
Receiver has mildly worn finish and light patina. Both barrel bands have mild to heavy finish wear. Magazine plate and trigger guard have a refurbished finish.
No P stamp noted.
