Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1903, in good condition with 70% finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling). 1/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Both bolt knobs are chipped.
Stock has an unrepaired 4" crack on the left side around the rear barrel band.
On the right side of the stock, "EXM" is carved at the rear of the butt. Light gouging around the center of the butt. Checker-patterned pressure marks before and around the finger groove. On the left side of the stock there is a light gouge toward the forward end of the butt. Mild pressure marks on the wrist. Pressure marks at the rear of the finger groove. On the underside of the stock there is a heavy pressure mark on the butt in front of the sling mount. Mild gouging in front o f the magazine plate. Light gouge in front of the rear barrel band. Light gouging at the rear of the comb.
Receiver has heavily worn finish. Both barrel bands are in the white. Magazine plate has light to mild finish wear. Trigger guard is in the white. Magazine is approaching white and has light to mild pitting.
