Swiss W+F Bern 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1903, in very good condition with 80% finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Both bolt knobs are cracked.
On the right side of the stock, there are light gouges around the center of the butt. Mild pressure marks between the wrist and the finger groove. Mild pressure marks before the rear barrel band. Heavy pressure marks before the front barrel band. On the left side of the stock there is a heavy pressure mark on the wrist. Light gouging above the finger groove. Light gouging in front of the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock there is a long scratch in front of the magazine plate. Light gouging at the rear of the comb.
Receiver has mildly worn finish, with heavy finish wear at the forward end. Rear barrel band has lightly worn finish. Front barrel band has heavily worn finish. Barrel has heavily worn finish. Magazine plate and trigger guard have heavily worn finish. Magazine base is in the white.
P37 stamped receiver, indicating privatization in 1937.
·9 stamped below the serial number, indicating armory refurbishment in 1909.
Includes muzzle cover and leather sling.
