Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1902, in very good condition with 95% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
On the right side of the stock, there are small, mild pressure marks throughout the butt. Grip has a pair of heavy pressure marks. Heavy pressure mark above the finger groove. Light gouge before the rear barrel band and small, heavy gouges in front of the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock, there are heavy gouges throughout the butt. Heavy pressure marks around the middle of the butt. Mild pressure marks to the left of the finger groove. Round, heavy pressure mark before the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock there is a heavy gouge in front of the magazine catch and a light gouge in front of the magazine plate.
Receiver finish is lightly worn. Light edge wear throughout the receiver. Light surface marks around the upper lightening cuts. Both barrel bands have light finish wear and light tool marks. Light finish wear and mild edge wear on the trigger guard. Large spot of heavy pitting on the magazine base.
Receiver is P53 stamped, indicating privatization in 1953. ·9 stamped below the serial number, indicating armory refurbishment in 1909.
Both bolt knobs are cracked.
