Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1902, in very good condition with 80% finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling). 3/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers except for the bolt knob.
Lower bolt knob is cracked.
Stock has tiger striping on the right side of the butt.
On the right side of the stock, there are heavy pressure marks throughout the butt. Heavy gouging over the rear sling mount. Deep scratches on the wrist. Light gouging above the finger groove. On the left side of the stock there are heavy pressure marks throughout the butt and a heavy gouge at the rear of the butt. Heavy pressure marks on the wrist. Heavy pressure mark forward of the wrist, above the trigger guard. Light gouging before the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock there are light gouges on the butt. Light gouging and heavy pressure marks on the pistol grip and wrist. Mild and heavy pressure marks in front of the magazine plate. Three heavy pressure marks in front of the rear barrel band. Heavy pressure marks along the comb. Heavy gouge at the forward end of the comb. Handguard has a heavy pressure mark near the ferrule. Mild pressure marks around the rear barrel band.
Receiver has mildly worn finish at the rear. Heavily worn finish over the chamber and barrel shank. Light scratches throughout the receiver. Both barrel bands have heavily worn finish. Barrel has heavily worn finish around the muzzle. Trigger guard has heavy edge wear and heavy patina. Magazine has heavily worn finish.
Receiver has been P stamped twice. ·9 stamped below the serial number, indicating armory refurbishment in 1909.
