Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1902, in very good condition with 85% finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling). 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
On the right side of the stock, there are a pair of heavy pressure marks near the bolt release lever. On the left side of the stock, there is a light gouge at the butt just before the grip. Heavy pressure marks on the upper edge of the stock, near the rear of the receiver. Very light scrapes in front of the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock there is a heavy gouge in front of the magazine catch. Light scrape in front of the magazine plate. Mild pressure marks on the right side of the handguard and a heavy pressure mark on the top side of the handguard in between the barrel bands.
Receiver finish is lightly worn overall. Mild finish wear over the chamber. Rear barrel band has light finish wear and light tool marks. Front barrel band has mild finish wear. Mild finish wear throughout the magazine plate, trigger guard, and magazine.
Upper bolt knob is cracked.
No P stamp noted. ·5 stamped below the serial number, indicating armory refurbishment in 1905.
