Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1902, in good condition with 75% finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling, light pitting). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Both bolt knobs are cracked.
On the right side of the stock there are mild pressure marks on the butt near the rear of the comb. Small, mild gouge at the forward end of the comb. On the left side of the stock there are heavy pressure marks and light gouges on the butt. Scattered small dots of white paint from the butt to the wrist. Mild pressure marks and a heavy gouge on the wrist. Pair of deep scratches at the forward end of the wrist. Heavy pressure mark before the finger groove. Pair of light gouges at the woodline above the finger groove. Handguard has heavy gouging on the left side and a light gouge on the top side before the rear barrel band.
Receiver has light pitting throughout. Receiver finish is heavily worn. Top of the chamber is in the white and has light to mild patina. Both barrel bands have heavily worn finish. Rear barrel band has heavy pitting on the underside. Magazine plate has mildly worn finish. Trigger guard has heavily worn finish. Magazine base has heavily worn finish.
