Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1899, in very good condition with 75% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Both bolt knobs are cracked and chipped.
On the right side of the stock, there are mild pressure marks toward the bottom of the butt. Light gouging on the pistol grip and wrist. Light gouging above the finger groove. Long scratch in front of the rear barrel band. Light gouge about halfway between the barrel bands. On the left side of the stock there are heavy pressure marks around the center of the butt. Light gouging on the pistol grip. StG (for canton or city of St. Gallen) stamped above the right side of the finger groove. Light gouging behind both barrel bands. On the underside of the stock, there is a heavy gouge next to the magazine catch. Heavy pressure marks along the comb. Handguard has light gouging at the rear, light gouging before the rear barrel band, and a heavy pressure mark in front of the rear barrel band.
Receiver finish is heavily worn and has mild patina throughout. Rear barrel band has heavily worn finish. Front barrel band is approaching white. Magazine plate has mild to heavy finish wear. Trigger guard has heavily worn finish and light surface marks. Magazine has heavily worn finish and is approaching white.
