Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1899, in very good condition with 85% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Upper bolt knob is cracked. Lower bolt knob is chipped.
On the right side of the stock there is heavy gouging on the forearm between the barrel bands. On the left side of the stock there are mild pressure marks at the rear of the butt, a heavy pressure mark at the center of the butt, and light gouging at the forward end of the butt. Light gouge forward of the wrist, before the magazine. Light gouge before the rear barrel band. On the underside there is a heavy gouge on the butt before the pistol grip. Light gouge and a mild pressure mark in front of the magazine plate.
Receiver has lightly worn finish and light pitting. Light patina over the chamber. Rear barrel band has lightly worn finish and light pitting. Front barrel band has mildly worn finish and mild patina. Magazine plate, trigger guard, and magazine have heavily worn finish.
No P stamp.
